Opening of an ear abscess
A procedure aimed at removing pus from the ear tissues. It is required in the presence of an abscess — a formation with purulent contents.

Usually, an ear abscess develops as a result of infection and can cause severe pain, swelling and redness.
Before the procedure, the patient is examined and diagnosed to determine the location and size of the abscess.
The opening of the abscess is performed under local or general anesthesia. The surgeon makes a small incision in the skin in the area of the abscess and releases it from pus. If necessary, drainage is installed to prevent the accumulation of pus. Then the wound is carefully treated and a bandage is applied.
After the procedure, the patient is advised to observe ear hygiene and monitor the condition of the wound. You may need to take antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs as prescribed by a doctor.
