Before the procedure, the patient undergoes an examination that includes X-rays and CT scans to assess the position of the fragments. Blood and urine tests, a coagulogram, and infection screenings are prescribed, as well as an ECG and necessary specialist consultations.
The surgeon aligns the bone fragments and secures them with titanium miniplates and screws. If necessary, an endoscopic system is used to control the precise repositioning of the fragments.
