Chronic prostatitis
Prolonged inflammation of the prostate gland, accompanied by impaired functioning of the genitourinary system.

The prostate gland plays a key role in the male reproductive system, participating in the production of secretions that ensure sperm motility. In chronic prostatitis, the tissues of the organ become inflamed, swell and change, which leads to a violation of its functions. The disease has a wave–like course - periods of exacerbation are replaced by remission, but in the absence of treatment, the inflammatory process gradually progresses. Bacterial and abacterial chronic prostatitis are distinguished. The bacterial form is associated with an infection that is most often sexually transmitted or enters the prostate from the urinary tract. Abacterial prostatitis occurs against the background of stagnant phenomena in the pelvis, circulatory disorders or immune disorders.s.
Causes
Infections (bacteria, viruses, fungi)
Stagnation in the pelvis (impaired blood and lymph circulation)
Sedentary lifestyle, prolonged sitting
Irregular sex life or prolonged abstinence
Hormonal disorders
Autoimmune diseases
Frequent hypothermia
Stress and emotional overexertion
Alcohol abuse, smoking, unhealthy diet
Chronic constipation
Symptoms
Pulling, aching pains in the perineum, groin, and lower back
Frequent, difficult urination, nocturnal urges
Burning and discomfort in the urethra
Weakening of the erection, premature ejaculation
Painful sensations during ejaculation
Decreased sex drive
Discharge from the urethra
Feeling of incomplete emptying of the bladder
Increased fatigue, irritability, anxiety
After-effects
Over time, inflammation promotes the formation of connective tissue in the prostate, which leads to organ sclerosis and loss of its functions. Circulatory disorders and congestion increase the risk of stones forming in the prostate gland. The disease can contribute to the development of infertility. Against the background of chronic inflammation, the likelihood of benign prostatic hyperplasia (adenomas) increases
Лечение

Conservative treatment
Treatment is aimed at eliminating inflammation, restoring prostate function and preventing recurrence. With the bacterial form, antibiotics, medications to facilitate urination, as well as antispasmodics and analgesics are prescribed. The doctor may also prescribe physical therapy and/or physical therapy.

Surgical treatment
Surgical intervention is performed in cases where conservative therapy is ineffective, and the disease is accompanied by complications such as bladder neck sclerosis. Endoscopic and minimally invasive procedures help to remove the affected tissues and restore the patency of the urethra. In some cases, laser therapy is used to destroy pathological formations and improve the outflow of secretions. After surgical treatment, the patient needs a recovery period.
